WUSF Public Media celebrates International Jazz Day by announcing its new Jazz on Arts Axis Florida platform. Led by WUSF Public Media and The Community Foundation Tampa Bay, Jazz on Arts Axis Florida is the new digital hub for Florida jazz and focuses on providing space for local organizations and musicians to amplify community jazz events and create/curate performances. The website will provide a robust events calendar, local venue listings, and curation of jazz news, playlists, radio stations, and videos. Jazz on Arts Axis Florida is hoping to expand its platform with capturing video interviews and performances in-studio and is currently looking for local musicians and bands to perform. Warren Buchholz was named Brand Manager for jazz music at WUSF Public Media’s Arts Axis Florida online streaming service. Buchholz will lead a series of new projects, including new podcasts on jazz, plus new Spoken Word offerings. Buchholz recently joined the WUSF team with experience in brand management, creative print and digital design, as well as management roles at USF St. Petersburg helping students connect to the growing St. Petersburg arts community.
